Album Notes
On February 9, 2014 the Copenhagen Zoo killed one of its young giraffes, a perfectly healthy two-year old named Marius. The reason: his DNA was not “unique” enough to justify continued life at the zoo and potential breeding. Other zoos offered to take the giraffe, and protests to the killing were heard around the world. These were ignored by zoo management, who killed Marius, dissected him in front of children, then fed his body to lions – also in front of children and adults. An innocent fed to the lions as spectacle. Gee, sounds familiar. How do humans twist and turn their reasoning to point where a slaughter such as this seems like the right thing to do? All in the name of science. The same science that tells us life is not a miracle - just a weird accident in a soul-less universe. God save our children from a culture that places death over life, wrong over right. And God bless Marius, Tony Gwynn, Uncle Louis, and all the beautiful souls now home and roaming free in Heaven.

Streets Of Rome was founded in 2013 by songwriters Edward Patrick Mooney (vocals, guitar) and Ana Anzore (vocals, guitar).
