Album Notes
Now on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Spotify and more! Since the band’s foundation in the summer of 2010, Struggletown has drawn comparisons to popular folk rock and Americana bands of the day. However, you wouldn’t be wrong to say Struggletown is something entirely different. Combining traditional folk, rock, acoustic pop and country roots, along with experimentation in blues and funk, Struggletown is a group that’s truly just doing their own thing. From fun jams about scrambled eggs, to stadium ready whiskey fueled love song mayhem, Struggletown’s catalogue of tunes is ever expanding.

A debut 2012 studio recording from Struggletown blends an Americana style of acoustic, country, and folk rock... with a touch of bluegrass! Featuring Ryan Colligan on guitar, Christian Henry on banjo, John Krause on upright bass, and Joseph Vincent on drums/piano. "Goodnight Caroline" is their first original, featuring a catchy piano line. Is she sad, is she happy? This song is guaranteed to pull your heart strings. There's no acceptable genre for this song, it is all Struggletown. Visit struggletownmusic.com to preview the full EP, more about the band, pictures and all the social media sites.

The summer of 2013 was a busy time for Struggletown, booking live shows across Central NY, finished off with a television broadcast to promote their show and fund raising event in their home town. During this busy time, two new originals were written and recorded. "Scrambled Eggs" showcases a bluesy guitar within a funky song, which really only demands a proper breakfast! Back to tug your heart is "(What I Think Was) I Love You", with a perfect blend of acoustic guitar, bowed bass, and vocal harmonies that will fill your soul.

Keep an eye on these guys because there is more to come...
