ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This CD is 42 years in the making.

In 1973 these songs were recorded for an album entitled “Stu Nunnery” and released by Evolution Records.

“Sally from Syracuse” and “Madelaine” spent time on the top 100 on US Pop Charts while “Lady It’s Time to Go” found its way to #1 in Brazil. The “Isle of Debris” remains a fan favorite and a rock classic at radio stations around the country.

In 1974, Evolution went out of business and while the songs continued to be programmed around the world, the album was not available for sale except on vinyl and 8-Track, through buy-outs, remainder bins and eventually the internet.

In 1982, I disappeared as well after a series of health crises took much of my hearing and ended my music career. I never believed I’d be back.

I am very pleased to present again this collection of original compositions and performances for the first time ever on CD. Timeless is a nice word that we all hope might be attributed to our work. Regardless, here I am again. And there is more music to come.

Thanks for waiting.

The tracks on this CD are from the original album cut at Sound Ideas Studios in New York in 1973 and feature artists who were already or went on to become some of the most celebrated musicians of that or any era starting with musician, composer, arranger Al Gorgoni who produced the sessions.

Arrangements - Paul Griffin
Guitars - Elliott Randall, Buzz Feiten, John Tropea, David Spinozza, and Hugh McCracken
Drums - Rick Marotta and Allan Schwartzberg.
Bass - Stu Woods, Andy Muson and Kirk Hamilton.
Fiddle - Eric Weissberg and Kenny Kosek
