Album Notes
After deciding to leave the political arena, singer, songwriter and producer Phillip Suay Lo Anderson has completed his latest album entitled, “Phillip the Great”, officially slated for release on November 25.

Produced by himself and good friend and fellow producer, Chris King, the album will be distributed through local media outlets and his website, SuayPhil Entertainment.

Suay has often been compared to Marvin Gaye with his soulful sounds, and Tupac, a bit “old school”, meets hip-hop with some contemporary lyrics.

“I needed to write from my heart on this album because that’s what I felt right now. I’ve had some major upsets during my music career, but the last few years kind of hit me out of nowhere,” Suay Lo said. “I’ve had to re-group and figure out what meant the most to me in my life while trying to pursue my music successfully. I had to do a lot of things differently.”

Suay’s music career started out in the churches led by his minister uncles where he sang in the choir. He familiarized himself with the sounds that he heard and carried them into his studio later when he knew that this was the path he wanted to take. Through the years, he’s learned a lot, grown a lot and is poised for the road ahead. His song, “Hard Times” is a reminder to stay true to himself and to remember why he started this journey in the first place.

In addition to “Phillip the Great”, Suay has produced, and written two other albums; “My Time To Shine,” and “Sex, Lies and Hip-Hop Music.” His albums along with his community work with young adults and his support of upcoming artists in the area have made him a household name amongst his fan base.

“They have kept me strong and focused”, I truly appreciate their love and support,” he said.
