numbified
stupefied
dumbed down through our eyes
senses dulled and taste is less
I cannot see through this mess
we're governed by
we want fancy cars
and stretched back skin
and let me start to begin again
to watch as we are circling in the same hell
civilized I think not
Because we
Blow our Peace to Pieces
We sacrifice our parents lives
to stay within our social ties
driven by egos
that think that they can even fly
civilized I think not
because we
Blow our peace to pieces
we sit like drones
and we act like drones
as we blow our Peace to pieces

The music has been most sought after by practitioners and teachers of yoga, massage, and meditation.

We hit the road again in the fall, and were not able to return to Ojai until the spring of 2010. It was during this stay that we found inspiration to begin our third full length album, Xpresso Blend. We were given an artist residence for the month of May at the world famous Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts. Located in the beautiful Happy Valley, it was the perfect setting for us to dive in and begin our second album of both video and music. We called this album our blend, because we hope to maintain within it the energy & power of Dark Roast and the spiritual passion that is Lite Roast. We hope to release it soon, but are allowing it the time and space needed to fully mature.

In the mean time we have been contributing music to the soundtracks of three movies. Growth Busters, The conversation, and Hero Tomorrow have all been receiving praise and film festival awards around the world. We feel very fortunate to have been involved, and hope to pick up more movie soundtrack work.

It was during our initial stay in Ojai that we first started the tinkering of our diesel engine to run off reclaimed veggie oil. It would take us several months and some help from dear friends to complete this goal, but we did it! Rocket, our home on wheels, has successfully crossed this country numerous times on oil. Whether it was traversing the steep grades of Colorado, or the scenic coasts of both New England and California, Rocket has been cruising along happily eating a steady diet of Chinese grease and sushi oil. (We ourselves have been enjoying a wide range of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisine as well!)

With the veggie system up and running, we turned our attention next to the installation of solar panels. It was in the desert of Arizona that we were able to say goodbye to our generator and plug the bus into the gift of recycled sunshine! (we were also fortunate enough to help our friends install the same system on their '54 converted greyhound bus)

Currently we are in the Santa Barbara area, taking a break from traveling to concentrate on finishing Xpresso Blend.
