Album Notes
'Keep This Love Safe' is possibly one of Sue McCreeth's most mainstream songs, and will have very wide appeal. Soulful, heartfelt and intelligent, her writing can be compared to Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell and Nora Jones.
The UK music critic Dave Gelly has long championed Sue's writing in the Observer, including the following reviews:
'A cool misty kind of a voice and a style which invites rather than insists on attention.'
'With clear modest simplicity and grace she carries off the most daunting musical feats.'
'She sings with warmth and intimacy, and commands a wonderful flexibility in her vocal tone, which allows her to match it exactly to the message or atmosphere of any particular piece...Outstanding'
Sue's songs are used as teaching materials within Berklee College of Music USA and her writing collaborations include Joseph Mulholland and Larion Stolk. She has also collaborated with Ian Salmon and Mike Varty of Infinite Sunday for over two decades. In addition to being shortlisted twice at the International Songwriting Competition, she has received an accolade by the great Gary Burton: 'Your writing is logical and effective, this seems to come naturally to you.'
