ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sue Roseberry the songwriter and inimitable vocalist brings to us a fresh array of music that is ideal for church worship. Her music bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary and there is a quality to her voice that is so unique that it is captivating. There is a "softness" and lilting quality to her voice that can be amped up to commanding, no-microphone needed mega proportions at will. Sue Roseberry has been singing since her earliest memory. Inspired by her own grandmother and Mahalia Jackson, she is adamant about promoting the good news of the gospel in her song and lifestyle. She is a graduate of the College of Santa Fe with a B.F. A. Degree in performing arts. Sue is also a professional storyteller and has manged to fuse the storytelling with the singing and the result is what audiences describe as being "beyond entertainment". One of the most versatile artists today, she has written more than 300 musical selections. Her music has been recorded by the Church of God in Christ Mass Choir as well as the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Ms. Roseberry has written plays and musical dramas. In 2011 Ms. Roseberry burst onto the national scene as a finalist on BET's Sunday Best gospel singing competition. The world came to know and love this creative woman who was affectionately called "Mama Sue" by Kirk Franklin after hearing the other contestants calling her that. She wears that title with pride and is thrilled by the respect given her by so many. When Sue Roseberry opens her mouth to sing, you know there is passion radiating within. Magnificent God is her sophomore work and again displays her commanding songwriting ability. What is next for this woman of remarkable talents? Only time will tell.
