Album Notes
SugarKick was formed back in the summer of 2011 when a chance encounter of Steven Slator and Ria Woods struck up an instant song writing relationship. So much so was the enthusiasm and commitment of the pair that it resulted in their 16-track album debut being created in the space of six months.
All tracks were written by Ria Woods and Steven Slator, Ria doing all the vocal work and Steve doing all the instruments. The only other additional appearance was some guest vocals from wild boy Rich Knight on the track "keep your distance"

Writing and recording sessions were always extremely productive with the duo. Between them, they were writing and recording an average of a song per week. Quite a few songs didn’t make it to this album but most people are still surprised at the amount of tunes that did make it to the album when you consider that most albums have about a dozen songs on average!

SugarKick’s aim was top create likeable and catchy “feel good” tunes, of a commercial pop-rock vibe. Influences for the band come from the likes of Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Pixie Lott, Taylor Swift and Paramore, all of which you may detect traces of within their material.
If you like “feel-good” tunes with a pop-rock vice you wont be disappointed!
