ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Surreala is a recording artist and songwriter from NYC who brings a new take on classic pop music. From early childhood experiences singing and performing, she slowly developed herself as a vocalist and artist, blossoming into a member of New Wave, R&B and Rock bands. At the same time, Surreala grew her craft as a club singer; covering songs from Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan, as well as many standards.

Surreala began recording her own songs in her teens and through many partnerships and much work honed her songwriting abilities to an elite level. Many songs are Madonna-esque, but influences from Blondie, The Bee Gees and The Beatles make for an eclectic mix of songs. Her voice echoes the classic nightclub singers from yesterday, while hinting at contemporary acts like Lady Gaga, and Skye Edwards.
