ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Singer/Songwriter Susan Douglass Taylor's music is southern-rooted Americana with a flavor of the west....a fusion of folk, bluegrass, and retro-country. It comes from a place that only maturity and life experience can bring to a songwriter and musician. Much of her music is written with a sense of contentment about the goodness in life--of special people, places, and fond memories. But there is a darker side that is occasionally evident in her music that permeates to the core of the listener. She has been described as someone who writes "the kind of universal themes that have kept songwriters busy for many years"..."sung and performed with a gentle warmth that wraps around you like a fresh mound of hay in a hayloft".
