Album Notes
“Suzanne has a lovely sense of melody and a voice that is natural and unaffected, unlike a lot of other singers these days” Ron Sexsmith.
Suzanne has been developing her sound over the past couple of years. Dawning of the Day is an early snapshot of that development. She has been collaborating with many fine musicians whose CVs include: REM, Massive Attack, Boy George and Paul McCartney. Dawning of the Day features James Eller (The The, The Pretenders) on Bass; Pascal Glanville on guitar; Daniele Giovannoni on drums; Luca Uggias on piano; and producer, Tim Devereaux, on acoustic guitar and keyboards. The ‘stems’ were recorded at various locations in England, before being mixed by Brian Reeves at The Jungle Room Studios in LA.
Her next songs, soon to be released, were produced by Ken Stringfellow (REM, The Posies, and Big Star). They include collaborations with major award winning American writers: Michael Caruso, Trey Bruce, Randy Sharp and Dave Berg.
