Album Notes
At The Mercy Gate

I thank the Lord for blessing me with instrumentals that are quiet and calming like the piano solos on this album.
At The Mercy Gate features 12 tracks that are the perfect music for working to, or using as worship music, gentle stretching, calming a baby, or falling to sleep to, or whatever you enjoy doing with peaceful piano solos. These are very relaxing instrumentals.

All of the music the Lord gives me is inspired in some way from a prayer, psalm or an event in my life or someone close to me, or a even a world event.

Track 1, “My God is in Control” was inspired by Psalm 103:19:
“The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.”
Track 10, “Yahweh is My King” was inspired by Psalm 29:10
“The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
Many times we have storms going on in our lives but God is still on His throne, He is in control over the universe and over the flood that is raging in my tiny world. He will carry me over the flood, says Isaiah 43: 2:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.”
God’s voice comes over the raging waters says Psalm 29:3-4
“The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.”

Much of my music initially forms as a prayer.
Tracks 2, 4 and 5 are musical prayers.
Musical prayer songs are a wonderful form of prayer!
Each time the recorded music is played, no matter when or where, the prayer woven into that piece of music goes up again to the Lord’s altar.
There are myriad ways to pray and worship God and He hears them all.
“Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope.” ~Luke 18:1

Sometimes world events will inspire me to compose a song.
Track 3, “Requiem for the Slain Children of God” was inspired by the murder of innocent people who were killed for no other reason but for their faith and love for Christ.

My faith in Jesus Christ is intrinsically woven into every musical composition I create and record for He is the One who inspires every creative work that I do.
As He said to His disciples in John 15:5: “Apart from me you can do nothing.”

It is my fervent prayer that the Lord will use these piano solos to bless you and bring you peace as you listen to them.

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
Psalm 29:11
