Album Notes
Bethlehem's Star is my second album featuring traditional Christmas carols.
My first Holiday Album, "Christmas Joy", released in 2013, lived up to its title and was one of the most joyful albums the Lord has ever blessed me with.

Christmas, for me, is the most joyful time of the year for, not only does it celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, it is filled with many happy memories.
All of my holiday memories revolve around the wonderful Christmas carols that we always had playing on the stereo or the radio when I was a child, and also when my own children were growing up.
Even now as I recall our church at Christmastime, brightly lit with candles and the altar decorated with evergreens, live Christmas trees, and a beautiful hand carved manger scene, I can hear the choir singing all of the lovely old carols for the annual Cantata.

The traditional Christmas carols date back many centuries and repeat the Gospel story of Christ's birth and mission in song. These lovely Hymns have been handed down for many generations in the Christian Church. They have been woven into countless family Christmas celebrations since they were written and sung in churches. Like so many of the traditional Hymns, many of the carols have interesting stories surrounding their creation.

I pray that as you listen to my album, "Bethlehem's Star", that these traditional Christmas Carols will be a great blessing to you and bring peace to your heart during what has unfortunately become a very stressful time of the year for many.

My vocal style is very calming and peaceful, and my original instrumentals are meditative. My album is purposefully simple, quiet and soothing.
Play this music when you need peace and comfort, and to feel the quiet joy that comes when you take time to just be still.
Take time to listen to the beautiful words of the old carols; take time for joy as you put aside for a few moments whatever you are rushing at and just rest and be as still as the night sky where the bright Star of Bethlehem rode above the Manger in which the Baby Jesus lay over 2000 years ago when He came to bring peace and goodwill to all.
Take time to whisper a prayer of thanks to the One who gave this beautiful Gift to us all that we might live forever because of the sacrifice He would become for our sins.
Merry Christmas and may God bless you and yours abundantly in the coming year!
The Christmas Story (Luke 2:1-20) King James Version Bible

"And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; because he was of the house and lineage of David: To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, "Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. "

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, "Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us."

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them."

*All glory, praise, and honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the grace and ability to make this album. I thank the Lord for my wonderful husband and partner Mark whose love, support, help, and encouragement are so invaluable in all I do.
