Album Notes
This series is Kashmiri Shaivism at its finest–the quintessential merging of Advaita Vedanta, Tantra, Kundalini and Patanjali Yoga. The yoga system and Vedanta teach liberation from the outside in–bahir-mukha to antar-mukha. The Shiva Sutras does just the opposite–from the inside out–and it turns our language, ideas and categories inside out in the process.
Swami Veda is a master Sanskrit scholar who has a depth of meditative experience rarely found outside the caves of the Himalayas. He’s able to elucidate the subtle complexities of this sacred text in a clear, practical way.
We are led to question the perceived impossible and shown how to turn our obstacles into stepping stones. All our patterns and pathways translate into moment-by-moment decisions, which, with awareness, have the potential to impel us to change. This series is like entering an innermost sacred chamber where one can learn directly from the master.
