Album Notes
Swearingen & Kelli's self-titled debut album is the blending of Aj Swearingen and Jayne Kelli's unique artistry. Known for their rich and silky vocals, this folk-pop duo is a powerful songwriting union. Swearingen, from Pennsylvania, and Kelli, hailing from MI, met by chance at a songwriter's night in Florida. They had an instant connection and began harmonizing together in a way both natural and intense. They've been performing their signature sound in theaters and opera houses across the United States with a style that echoes the great songwriter's of the past. Folk icon Tom Rush recorded one of Swearingen's tunes, "You're Not Here With Me", on his latest album. This song is also included on Swearingen & Kelli's highly anticipated debut album. Audiences are hungry for authentic artists. Swearingen & Kelli deliver, sharing an undeniable chemistry with their unfiltered, from the heart songwriting and performing.

“Aj Swearingen has been performing for 20 years. Jayne Kelli is in her 20s. But as a duo, they make remarkably intimate folk-pop with heavy doses of Americana and Country. Their collaboration has proven fruitful for both, as they have toured the country together and are working on a debut album for release this spring.”

On Swearingen & Kelli: A two-piece folk pop duo featuring deeply drawling singer-songwriter AJ Swearingen and husky-sweet crooning songstress Jayne Kelli, their vocals gorgeously balanced against dual acoustic guitar arrangements. (Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg) ”

Wow - you need this album.......
In summary, you will love this CD if you like beautiful folk rock with a touch of country. The Civil Wars have nothing on this.

The self-titled work is the first CD by this duo, but it is far from the first CD by either Kelli or Swearingen. Both of them have fabulous voices and Jayne Kelli is a vocal chameleon and she can adjust her sound a hundred ways to suit the song. Swearingen is an outstanding singer and guitarist and plays very tasty fills throughout the record. The vocal harmonies cannot be beaten!

The songs range from a plaintive ballad to an upbeat toe-tapper of a country song with lots of variety in between. The melodies stick in your head and have you humming along in no time. Most of the lyrics deal with relationships and have a mysterious nature about them, leaving you to imagine the details or relate the songs to your own experiences.

Again…. terrific songwriting, terrific vocals, and excellent instrumentation……what more could you want? Get it now!

Swearingen & Kelli serve a platter of listening pleasure on debut CD
This freshman release by AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli, both of whom recorded previously as solo artists, is a solid work of musical artistry, combining the contemplative style of seasoned folk-pop veteran Swearingen with the sunny and wandering aura of Kelli. The HUGE standout here is the fire-dancing jam, "Wrestling the Devil," which the duo would be smart to promote heavily. Other favorites include the pulsing "6000 Miles," the softly harmonious "I'm Free," and the upliftingly warm "Give Everything Up."
