ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Wild Dream is full of snappy originals played in vintage style by Swingnuts Jazz. Peggy Wendel's lyrics are crafty and provocative with modern sensibilities.

A jazz baby ever since she was a wee nipper, Peggy has always been drawn to the hep happy sounds of Cab Calloway, Peggy Lee, Benny Goodman, Spike Jones and Ella Fitzgerald.
Peggy learned to play swing guitar so she could sing swing tunes from the 1920s to 1940s in music jams. Eventually she put together a band of hot, fun-loving musicians and Swingnuts Jazz was born.

Swingnuts on this album are:
Andy Carr, piano
Pete Smith, guitar
Philip Nakano, percussion, sax, flute
Mark Dodge, bass
and of course, Peggy Wendel, vocals
