Album Notes
Sixty Thousand Years is the third single from Swords forthcoming second album Tidal Waves.

Swords are a three piece band from Dublin, with members Diane Anglim (vocals & piano), Jarlath Canning (bass, guitars & synth) and Ian Frawley (drums).

The album Tidal Waves, due for release this winter, was produced by platinum selling producer Karl Odlum (The Frames, Gemma Hayes, Mic Christopher, Ham Sandwich), and Mastered by Grammy winning engineer Mandy Parnell (Feist, Bjork, The xx, Sigur Ros, Tame Impala).

It marks a departure in sound from swords previous releases, the band noting a more considered approach to writing, live recording methods, sparse arrangements and a fuller, more organic sound.

Swords previous work has been published by Smalltown America Music, playlisted by TXFM, aired on RTE 2FM, Today FM and BBC Radio. Shows have included headliners at Whelans & The Button Factory, slots at Electric Picnic and support at The Olympia Theatre. With TV appearances on Other Voices, The Works and Ceol ar an Imeall.
