Album Notes
The Joey Sykes album is a power pop gem, that is derived from such rock Icons as The Beatles, the Who, Badfinger, U2, The Eagles, the Cars, but produced with a punchy, crisp, modern sound. Joey also produced the album.A guitar player by trade, the album is full of great , memorable guitar riffs, sounds, and clever parts. He is also very into lyrics, so you will find the lyrics, really clever, and thoughtful, without being "overclever". The lyrics are printed in a booklet that comes with the CD.
Some of the additional musicians are very impressive. Among them are Roger Manning on Keys....(Jellyfish, Beck). Will Hollis on keyboards(The Eagles, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, etc), Herman Matthews( Tower of Power, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx, among many others) played a couple of songs on drums, Nate Morton (Rockstar band, Paul Stanley,etc)..
Joey played all the guitars , bass guitar, and all the vocals on the album.
Joey was the guitarist/co-writer in the Elektra recording artist Coward in 1997.The album was produced by the late, great Jerry Finn(Green Day, Blink 182, Butch Walker, etc..)..Joey Also played guitar for Meredith Brooks, Tommy Henriksen, Ken Andrews, and many others...Full info on
