ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After a tumultuous year of joy, love, loss and grief, Tabitha wrote and recorded these songs in her home studio in Alsheim, Germany, playing, as usual, most of the instruments herself, as well as producing it. This album, encompassing jazz, blues, soul and rock, is more ambitious than previous ones, featuring 60's-style backup vocals, punk guitar, jazzy piano and trippy keyboards.

The album represents four seasons of a year in which she ran for election in the Bundestag (and lost), lost a sister and a friend to cancer, fell in (unrequited) love and ultimately, survived to love again. She spans from political topics such as in "Chessmen" (about the German federal elections), environmentally conscious "Prayer For Our Planet", "Final War" and her anti-Trump "Walls in our Hearts", to heartfelt soul ballads such as "Only Your Love Will Do" and "Over You" or country-folk blues "Where the Cold Winds Blow" (featuring violinist Michael Mahla). Fans of 70's era classic rock will appreciate the Andreas Herden's guitar solos, the sheer span of musical invention and the jam-session groove.
