Tablespoon’s name was conceived from eating cereal and a song by Soundgarden-“Spoon Man”. Tablespoon is a family band. Best friends Justin Eady and Micheal Waren started Tablespoon in their teens. Next came drummer Ricky Jackson who was married to Justin’s sister. Then Michael’s dad Joey Waren joined to play bass. Early influences included The Doors, Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix.
If you like the Foo-Fighters, Kings Of Leon, Black Keys, Tom Petty, Soundgarden or The Pretenders you’ll dig Tablespoon.
Tablespoon is co-produced and engineered by Gary Laney. Gary was manager and chief engineer at Sound Emporium Recording Studios in Nashville, Tn. For 18 years. He did records with Trisha Yearwood, Keith Whitley, REM, Al Kooper, Green on Red, Jason & The Scorchers, Alan Jackson, New Grass Revival and Don Williams to name a few.
