Wonderful!
Talia is an amazingly gifted pianist, singer, and songwriter. On this, her second release, she showed growth as a pianist by demonstrating her knowledge of chords and progressions she had not featured in the compositions on her self-titled first album, as well as the fact that she was learning to improvise on her original melodies and take solos.

The first half of the CD includes pieces that were written since the release of her first album. The title track features a great opening riff and both a piano and synthesizer solo. "Runaway Heart" is a catchy instrumental set to a pop beat in which her piano playing is backed by a prominent guitar. It includes more great soloing work from Talia. "Let's Go" contains great orchestration and some of the best Talia solos on the whole CD. "Be Light" changes the mood of the album completely; it's a relaxing instrumental featuring an orchestral background and lovely embellishments from a harp. There is also an instrumental and a vocal version of her first pop song with lyrics, "So Wrong."

The other tracks were all re-releases from her first CD, which is fantastic for those who are not able to obtain copies of it (it's not available online). The first of these is "Free Falling" (no, not the Tom Petty tune), followed by "Peace in the Park." Both of these are more relaxing pieces than some of the rock/pop music presented prior. However, if the rock/pop pieces were your cup of tea, the next piece, "Through the Storm," will satisfy your thirst for more of that genre. It's one of my favorite pieces/arrangements. It starts off with a simple melody and light orchestral background and gradually builds into a repetitive chord pattern assisted with a rhythm section and the string orchestra. There is even a kick-butt electric guitar solo on top of Talia's chord pattern to keep the song listenable, and it works amazingly well. "Only in a Dream" slows the tempo down again and features a nice opening piano melody that repeats throughout the piece. "Angels are Watching You" and "Far, Far Away" are the simplest tracks on the album, as both feature pretty much nothing except her piano. However, the former does have an assist from a female choir singing oo's and ah's, as if the choir is the group of so-called "angels." It makes for a lovely addition to the music.

There is something for everyone here. And even if you don't consider yourself much of an instrumental music listener, try opening your mind and closing your eyes if you desire as this album is playing. The backing string orchestra and band provide fantastic arrangements to compliment these wonderful melodies. All-around outstanding!

Very good
I'm confused about Talia because it's my first time hearing her music as of April 16th, 2005. Is this her first album or second album? Does she tour? Does she tour with a band? Does she have any live tracks available? She's great. I wish I could see her live. Maybe she will tour when she gets older??
