Double Feature

by Tamara Rhodes

An old soul with a young heart makes Tamara's sound as familiar as the sultry, smokey Jazz and Blues greats like Ella and Billie, yet as reminiscent as the fresh, hip sounds of Macy Gray and Jill Scott.

Album Notes
An old soul with a young heart makes Tamara's sound as familiar as the sultry, smokey Jazz and Blues greats like Ella and Billie, yet as reminiscent as the fresh, hip sounds of Alicia Keys, Macy Gray and Jill Scott. Her sweet vocal style and beautifully written songs are winning the hearts of those who enjoy R&B, Jazz, Soul and Pop, she is definantly making an impact strait across the board and to audiences of all ages.

Born and raised inVancouver,Canada, Tamara has been performing since a young age. After high school Tamara moved toNew York Citywhere she attended theAmericanAcademyof Dramatic Arts.

Since then, Tamara has studied with cabaret legen Helen Baldassare at TheNewSchoolUniversityand with the Professional Jazz Division at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music. There she majored in Voice and performed with various ensembles from gospel to traditional jazz bands (some of which she even enjoyed playing the sax in!)

Tamara has performed in many events and shows in her home town ofVancouverand inNew York-the 'Shiva's Divas' show at CrushChampagneLounge, as well as a series of charity concerts called "Stripped" and "Fashion RocksVancouver". I've had the pleasure and Privilege of knowing Tamara during her stay here in New York City...I literally watched her evolve into the sultry hypnotizing singer that you all see today. T-Rose blossomed into Tamara Rhodes, Look out world here she comes. Talented and Gorgeous need I say More???

Awesome Music, very talented indeed.
Awesome Music

I agree with her Bio, this girl has it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Every so often a superstar is discovered- a star that is untouchable and appears to transcend all earthly boundaries. But, there is nothing about Tamara Rhodes that is untouchable, yet her music definitely says superstar. In fact, she is so touchable that you can literally feel the warmth of her broad smile. Her "home girl next door" charm resonates through a serenic flow of words that seems to invade your most private thoughts. It's the delivery of those words that is refreshingly calm and patient making you want to scream, "Take your time, girl!" You sense that she is not singing words, but experiences and the issues of her heart. Probably because she truly singing from the core of her heart. Tamara has the talent and ability to inspire millions people.
