ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The songs in Bend were mostly written throughout 2015-2018. It's the Rafters' sophomore release. Jamie wrote all the songs, except for one, which she co-wrote with Matt. The album was recorded and mixed by Evan Phillips in South Anchorage in the fall and early winter of 2018 and mastered by Randy LeRoy at Tonal Park Studio in Takoma Park, Maryland.

Harrison plays fiddle and mandolin, Matt plays the electric guitar, Bruno plays drums and other percussion, Duane plays bass, and Jamie plays acoustic guitar and sings. Leo "Steeleo" Ash is featured on a couple of the songs playing pedal steel, and Jamie added some cello tracks to two songs, as well. Rebecca Morrissey, Matt, and Duane are to thank for the lovely harmonies. Rebecca Lowe with Lowelight Images did the photography.

The five piece Anchorage, Alaska based band has been writing and playing a lot, and touring some over the past 5 years. They're doing an album release tour with Bend up the East Coast in May 2019... Florida to Maine. You can expect more music and tours to come in time.

Thanks are due to so many. We hope this album connects people to each other and themselves, and adds a little bit of realness to the world. It's so much of our hearts.
