Album Notes
What others have said about Jack and his music:

"Ever listen to a musician and get the little hairs on the back of your neck standing up? Well, Jack is on the verge of putting me there. That voice is one of kind. The gravel and the character are amazing. Jack has something magical about his vocal delivery. I think I could sit and listen to him tell a story without singing it and still be mesmerized. Some people have voices like that. Ones that are music to other people’s ears.
Jack has several CD’s. I think you’d have some fun exploring someone who is pretty far off the beaten path, but is fun to listen to. If it’s fun to listen to, it’s fun to follow." --- Jody Whitesides/The Single of the Day blog
Man...I don't write to too many artists.
Anyway, I'm listening to your music (stuff) right now and feel like music is OK again.
Thanks for being! --- William Kitchens
[Note: This comment means a lot coming from a noteworthy and successful songwriter]
Jack Tannehill is the great lost poet of NJ.
He is a rare individual, and a passionate entertainer.
It is my high personal honor to know him... --- DJ Ralph Drake of HomeGrownRadioNJ
I can't remember the last time I have felt so high listening to a song.
Your talent bedazzles me. How could I never have heard of you before??
It's an injustice to the world that more people don't know about you. --- singer/songwriter/critic Serena Matthews

About this album:
Vintage Tannehill includes 18 tracks mostly from the 1980s. The first seven tracks originally appeared on an album titled, Tannehill - Jarvis which was released in 1987 on vinyl and on cassette tape. These songs were later included on the CD, Earlier Lately/The Very Blest of Jack Tannehill. Tracks 8-13 are early demo recordings recorded by Jack on a 4 track recorder. Nicky's Netcong and Radio Airplay [tracks 14 & 15] were originally released on 45rpm vinyl and have been digitally restored directly from a copy of the 45 rpm record using the services of Mark at Audio-Restorations. Little Things [track 16] originally appeared on a compilation CD released by radio station WNTI in 2002 on a disc called, "WNTI Unsigned: Volume 1". Tell Him Now and Hope You're Still Here [tracks 17 & 18] are from another compilation disc called "Sound Effects Your Head" released in 1992 on the Buy or Die label.
