Be Gentle

Eclectic and creative doesn't begin to describe the sound of this album, be prepared to be taken to a soundscape unlike one you have ever heard before. Surf meets the 80s meets indie lo-fi meets Tanner's indescribable "signature sound."

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Be Gentle is yet another creative venture made in the name of musical art by Tanner Mackey. The album starts with an indie surf aesthetic with the songs Worry and Sandy Peach, but soon wanders into unnamed territory with Petunia, before delving into electro and 80s inspired sounds with the songs Japanese Cyber-Punk Dystopia and Digital Paradise. The album closes with Christmas Vegan and Beatintomybones, which are uninspired by any particular genre, but have elements of folk and rap respectively. Overall, this album is a trip that you have to hear to understand.

Be Gentle was a solo project recorded with the same means as Tanner's previous two albums. They were recorded largely in his childhood bedroom with a single interface and minimal microphones, using Reaper and Maschine DAW software.
