Sell Your Clothes and Keep Your Thoughts

by Tanyss Nixi

Bathed in rich guitars and her haunting pipes- Tanyss Nixi draws her sounds out long and lonesome. She can turn a phrase like our finest writers (Bob Dylan, Neil Young) and combine it with sultry, soaring, haunting vocals. Shivers every time...

Album Notes
"Just as Nixi scrunches up her nose at those who fail to live in the moment, her beautiful voice and folk melodies remind us that changing the world really isn’t a lost cause..." Exclaim!

'Tanyss Nixi was raised by her Aunt and Uncle in a northern Alberta prairie town. Think of it as the Canadian Texas, if you like, except for the long cold winters (-45 degrees celcius is not uncommon).

Combine this isolation with an unsettled childhood, a fierce independence, and an appreciation for beauty in all forms (including some of the darker aspects of human nature)- and you've got the recipe for this wonderful music...'
