Album Notes
Tao Theory is:

Susan Shloss, Violin
Greg Barnett, Guitar
Robert Adamich, Guitar

Our music is inspired by the incredible beauty of California’s hills and mountains, lakes and streams, fog and endless skies…and the loves, joys, and sorrows of this sweet life.

The Tao Theory Story

Susan and Greg met in the sacred music world and worked as a duo playing classical music, fiddle tunes, standards, and originals. They had great musical chemistry and made some wonderful music. Then Susan and Robert fell in love and began playing music together. When all three got together to play, a special confluence of music and friendship revealed itself, and Tao Theory was born. They aspire to pass on to you the magic, love and creative spark they feel each & every time they play.

Words From the Musicians

The Tao Theory experience brings to life something I once heard an old fiddler say - “Music is the highest.” It is for me a rich collaboration of love, respect, and creativity with a satisfying musical result. What a blessing that the Universe has brought us together and that we can now share this richness with you!
~ Susan

I will never forget the moment my daughter and her fiancé came up to me after we performed our piece, Grateful, and exclaimed, “Can we have that song playing when you walk me down the aisle?!” I was deeply touched and honored, and since I couldn’t perform the piece AND walk her down the aisle at the same time, we did a recording of Grateful for her special day. That gratitude keeps on growing, and we are now pleased to share an entire album of our creations with you. We hope you enjoy it!
~ Robert

The last fifty years have delightfully taken me down diverse and beautiful musical paths. Many of those paths inform the music on this album. From the blues to the Baroque and from Appalachia to jazz, it’s here. I’m glad for the opportunity to create and record this music, and I’m grateful for this musical life.
~ Greg
