Album Notes
Taranji, a Newark, New Jersey native, at a very young age was seduced by the symmetry, beauty, and passion of all Art forms. She gives thanks to Programs such as “Upward Bound” and “Head and Shoulders Above the Rest.” These programs not only introduced Taranji to all kinds of art forms from dance, music, to film, and fashion, they opened a pure expression inside of her that inspired the creation of her own beautiful Art, Fashion and Music which has become away of life she trademarks "FEMTASTIK".

FEMTASTIK promotes positive living and artisan.

Taranji started her musical career in the mid 90’s with a rock band called Voodoo Einstein in Atlanta, Georgia. She developed her own style while working or performing with some of the industries hottest artist and producers such as Fishbone, Roy Ayers, P.A, Organized Noise, Naked Truth, Divinity, Anthony David, Slick, Fishbone, Algebra,, India Arie, Joi, Peter Moreland, Jasper and the Prodical son, and G Love and the special sauce. Taranji was featured on the DOC’s album “Helter Skelter” where she had a stand out performance. She also shows her writing skills on Dallas Austin’s artist Joi, now classic album, “Star Kitty’s Revenge.”
This great body of work led her to step out on her own and show the world her talent as a solo artist. The pop masterpiece, gracefully titled, “Femtastik” gave her the opportunity to collaborate with some of the industry’s most respected producers such as Boysie Shorter, Ryan McDougal, Peter Moreland, Nick Savage, and Jeremy Thornton.

Taranji has and continues to perform in different venues, festivals, and events state side and abroad. Taranji’s objective is to spread her passionate brand of love music and her Femtastik way of life to the whole world.
