Album Notes
Singer/songwriter, Jenn Taranto is very excited about the release of her new ep ‘we will not fade.’ The record was engineered by Chris Zembower, bassist of the Boston band, The Everyday Visuals. After a year of recording at various locations in Cambridge, MA, with performances by friends and a plethora of string players, as well as a six month break, the songwriter is happy she decided to finish the ep. This is her latest release since her debut album ‘Move on from Me’ and the first time Taranto has incorporated drums into her work. Joe Seiders, drummer of The Everyday Visuals performs percussion on ‘we will not fade’ and adds a new quality and texture to Jenn’s slow, moody songs. Some tracks are even poppy and upbeat which is quite a change from her previous work. Arranging the string parts was also a first experience for Taranto and she found it to be a creative venture.

Excerpts from reviews:

"We Will Not Fade is a haunting, melodic collection of ballads from singer-songwriter Jenn Taranto. This five-song EP has a full, rich sound, with good composition and heartfelt lyrics. Blending folk influences with classical elements, Taranto demonstrates a flair for evocative music. Her voice is so charmingly ethereal that she even makes the line "It's a drag, what the F**k?" sound angelic. If you're in the mood for ballads of almost cinematic proportions, this is certainly a disc you should spin." -Beeb Ashcroft, Indie-music.com

"The music is honest and tuneful, with arrangements and nuances that will tug at your very soul and make you feel. The string and percussion arrangements are lush, yet unassuming. They don't call attention to themselves, yet punctuate the feeling and the vibe of the music so perfectly, which I find somewhat rare in a Boston/New York produced indie album. This album is simply delicious." -Joel Simches, Noise Magazine
