Album Notes
This is a live recording of Ms. Rankovich's New York City debut recital, which was a result of her winning the first prize at the Artists International Piano Competition in New York in 1989. The Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall concert took place on November 5th, 1989, which became a meaningful day for the entire pianistic community; The Great, Vladimir Horowitz passed away on that same day. To Ms. Rankovich, this became a recital of her honoring one of the greatest pianists ever. Her performances on this recording speak with heartfelt eloquence and deepest musicality. This recording is unedited and entirely as it happened.
