Album Notes
Thom Brennan began his brand of electronic music in the early 1980's. Inspired by the landscapes he lives with in the American Southwest and Pacific Northwest, his self produced albums have defined a unique and organic style of soundpainting.... A colorful and private world of harmonic tapestries.

In addition to an ongoing series of solo works, collaborations with ambient composer Steve Roach appeared on the 1988 Fortuna release WESTERN SPACES, and the Projekt Records compilation AMPLEXUS COLLECTIVE.

Recordings have appeared on Rubicon Records (Canada), Phonogram (France), IC Records (Germany), Amplexus / Arya (Italy), Projekt, Fortuna, Space For Music, AtmoWorks, and his own RainGarden Music.

Perfect floating ambience
Note this was originally released under the title The Secret Faith of Salamanders. My favorite Thom Brennan release, full of effortless floating ambient music, thoroughly relaxing. A+

I have Thom Brennan's entire CD catalogue, and this latest shows a deep maturity
Strange Paradise is a real benchmark in Thom Brennan's musical style. He creates sonic textures that unfold over time, creating layers and waves of sound. To me it is best experienced through headphones while lying down or meditating. The effect is transporting; I often get images of colors, cascading into each other like the Northern Lights when I listen to this and other CDs by Thom Brennan. It's a whole new way to enjoy music. Don't listen for a great melody, exciting rhythms or musical structure. it just evolves...
