ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I am an original writer from the Ozark Mountains of Southwest Missouri.
My first memory is of my Scotch/Irish fiddle playing Grandpa saying "Dance Tedi Jean" while he played me a Shoddish dance jig.
I grew up playing banjo in a bluegrass band with My Momma who played upright bass and sang on the radio when she was 16.
Songs come to me out of the atmosphere..I'm just a conduit for what shows up..
The songs are expressions of how I see the world, and universal truth for people who want to listen.
Billy Ward, My friend who played fiddle and flat pick/rhythm guitar and produced this album is a long time national award winning fiddler and writer as well.
We both had music in the Grammy nominated, international award winning "Winters Bone" indie film made here in the Ozark Mountains, starring the then unknown Jennifer Lawrence.
I love writing and playing and searching for the divine in all I do.
I hope you enjoy this music, and get something you can hang on to from it..That's the goal :-)
