ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Produced, recorded and engineered by Leon-Forrest and Paul Carlsen (The Doors, Nirvana, Greg Allman), Born to the Blues is Ted Vaughn's latest release on Harbinger Northwest Records.
Born to the Blues combines Ted's rock solid vocals and blues harp that carries the influence of such greats as Paul Butterfield,Sam Meyer and Sonny Boy Williamson.
Some of the finest West Coast musicians are featured on this collection of blues standards and originals.
Don Wickstrom (The Roadside Prophets) lends addictive lead guitar riffs to each track. Dobro master Bill Dalbey shines on the stellar version of Lowell Fulson's classic "Reconsider Baby" and teams up with Leon Forrest's keyboards on the haunting original, "Uncertain, Texas".
Drummer Tom Johnson and guitarist Jack Pine also of "The Roadside Prophets", round out the rhythm section. Born to the Blues is a must have for lovers of blues and American music.

"...After nearly 26 years in radio I must confess that this is one of the most uplifting performances in the bluesland...the feeling is what it's all about. Ted got it..."
