Album Notes
This song was written by Tepoe Nash and the hit songwriter the late Bob Hicks. It is being released in memory of Bob and his wife, the late Margo Hicks.

“I met Bob Hicks at a songwriter gathering in Nashville when he asked me to do some guitar work for some of the artists he was working with. One of which was a very talented, and beautiful lady that later became my wife! So in retrospect, if I hadn’t met Bob, I probably wouldn’t have my wonderful wife and son.

Bob and his wife Margo were some of the nicest people you could ever meet, and it was such an honor to have known them! I spent several evenings at their house working on songs with Bob, and I have to say that Margo was a great cook! They welcomed me into their home just like I was part of the family, and I believe that they treated everyone that way. I do miss him and Margo very much, but I know that they’re in a better place now.

I will always cherish the song writing stories that Bob shared with me about working with Harlen Howard, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, and many more great artist. He also shared many song writing tips trying to help me with my song writing as Harlen done with him.

Just recently, I was thinking about some of the stories he had shared with me, and was missing my old friend, so I decided to pull out some of the songs we had worked on together, and I had demo recorded. After listening to them, I remembered Bob telling me that out of all of the songs that he had written the song “Farewell” which we had written together, was one of Margo’s favorite songs. I told him that I felt very honored to hear that, and it really meant a lot to me. When Margo passed away, Bob asked me to come and sing the song one last time for her and it was one of the hardest things that I have ever done, but I felt honored to do it.

After replaying that memory in my mind and thinking about the title of the song, I decided that I would release the song in memory of him and Margo.

I miss seeing you, Bob and Margo,, and thank you so much for the encouragement with my music, the meals, the stories, and most importantly for being my friends!!!!!”
