Story Behind the Song

"I wrote this song while thinking about a college course I took from "The Great Courses" by the Teaching Company entitled "Philosophy of Mind" taught by Professor Patrick Grim B.Phil.,Ph.D. Professor Grim teaches at Philosophy State University of New York at Stony Brook. The course involved 24 - 30min lecturers with the main topic being "Brains, Consciousness, and Thinking Machines". I have studied history, science, and many other topics from "The Great Courses" , and love them! I encourage anyone who wants to better educate themselves, to check them out sometime!

I was reflecting on this course one day while I was playing a riff I had, and out came this song on Perception. I was going over the definition in my mind:

Per·cep·tion
pərˈsepSH(ə)n/
noun
the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses."the normal limits to human perception"
the state of being or process of becoming aware of something through the senses."the perception of pain"
synonyms:
recognition, awareness, consciousness, appreciation, realization, knowledge, grasp, understanding, comprehension, apprehension;formalcognizance"our perception of our own limitations"

a way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something; a mental impression.

I hope you enjoy the song and that you're perceiving an awesome reality!!!!"
