Album Notes
An effortless blend of original folk/ folk rock /country/blues "Druthers" was obviously a work of love for everyone involved. Produced by guitarist Nina Gerber, the combination of players is tasty, the music is rich and varied. Songs that speak of the power and fragility of self and friendship and love, of being lost and finding the way back again. These are songs you can listen to again and again.

Teresa Chandler has been a singer/songwriter all her life. She says of "Druthers", "There are many different genres here because I'm having a very wide life, thank you very much. It doesn't bother me, but people who would like to be able to sell music or book shows by focusing on a clear-cut genre find it problematic. I, however, enjoy life painted with a broad brush."

The fantastic players on "Druthers" are: Drums: Janet (Jake) Lampert, Congas and Percussion: Michelle Goerlitz, Bass: Sam Page, Piano: Barbara Higbie, Acoustic and Electric guitar: Nina Gerber, Electric Lead Guitar: Keith Allen, Pedal Steel: Joe Goldmark, Harmonica: Norton Buffalo, Saxophones: Jim Rothemel, Violin: Crystal Reeves, Cello: Kris Yenney, Banjo: Tony Furtado, Supporting vocals: Ed Johnson, Chris Webster, Crystal Reeves, Annie Larson Vocals and acoustic guitar: Teresa Chandler

David E Romm

Teresa has a marvelous coloratura voice which she puts to good use. Druthers is listed as "Jazz", not "Folk", and the cuts range from Country Swing to Bluesy Torch songs. She has an excellent band which creates a lush sound with violin, piano, bass, percussion, sax and backing vocals. A lounge lizard without the smoke.

Beckie Underwood

Great album, lots of diversity. Been a fan since the Mama Bears days!

Minnesota is lucky to have Teresa Chandler.
Recorded while she was still inCalifornia, Teresa Chandler's "Druthers" is a gem. It's a beautiful produced piece of work, artfully arranged with some of the best musicians in the San Francisco bay area. If you've ever seen her in concert, you know what heart and soul she pours into her songs. This is almost as good as hearing her live. A versatile song writer, and amazing singer. Check it out!

Gorgeous voice!
Chills. The best kind here. You can't protect your heart; its gonna be swept away by Teresa's sweetly ringing voice. She has outstanding musicians backing her.

Wonderful Real
Teresa has a substantial range and style, and I weep and laugh out loud listening to her.

What a talented gifted singer and artist!!
Teresa's voice is very inviting and soothing. She's a gifted artist that puts soul into her music. Each song, if listed to for it's content, has a very powerful message conveyed. I am both touched and inspired by her music. I often listen to her music while relaxing or reading a book. She is also great to listen to during a dinner party. I just love her style and messages! What a talent we have here in Minnesota!!!
