Album Notes
Some people’s life’s calling is clearly evident. From almost day one, it’s apparent why they’ve been put on this planet. Stellar Award nominee, RichEscape Music recording artist, Terrell Hunt is certainly one young man whose life has been purposed to praise and worship God. That desire is being witnessed by the world on the debut release of Hunt’s CD, “Awesome”. This appropriately entitled project has catapulted Terrell and his music into the lives of sincere worshipers and onto the global stage for everyone to experience.

The music industry has recognized Terrell Hunt's life-changing ministry with glowing reviews:

"Terrell Hunt is one of the most crazy-gifted and anointed psalmists I've had the pleasure to hear or meet. His debut CD, "Awesome," and his ministry will have a major impact on the body of Christ and will truly be a breath of fresh air."

Vickie Winans, Multiple Award Winner

“Terrell Hunt is refreshing! I know that he will be instrumental in helping many worshippers experience the manifest presence of God! From the snippets that I've heard, the CD has got to be GREAT! Get this CD, and be forever blessed!!!”

Jonathan Nelson, Stellar Award Winning Artist & Songwriter

The revelation of Terrell Hunt's musical gifts began to unfold at the age of 7, as Terrell took hold of his future ordination as a Music Minister evidenced by his advanced vocal ability and true love for music—a revelation that raised the eyebrows and interest of all those around him. Emerging from a family overflowing with singers, choral conductors, musicians, songwriters, studio engineers, producers, recording artists and even pastors, it was inevitable that Terrell would follow a path of carefully ordered steps. It wasn’t long after his first solo of “I’m So In Love With Jesus” at Bladensburg Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church where he grew up that he would soon begin sharing the stage and ministering with gospel greats, Vickie Winans, Karen Clark-Sheard, Tramaine Hawkins, Daryl Coley, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Vanessa R. Williams, Beverly Crawford, El Shaddai, Henry McKenzie Davis, and the list goes on.

Terrell’s amazing gift eventually found him singing in his church adult choir and ultimately, internationally, as he traveled, performing concerts across the globe. He was recorded with his world renowned Pastor, Wintley Phipps, along with New Genesis, the gospel choir of Capitol Hill SDA Church in Washington, DC, on Pastor Phipps’ CD, “The Sun Will Shine Again”. Hunt was featured on the track, “Forgiven.” During that time, Terrell became a member and lead vocalist for the DC Boys Choir under the direction of Ann Foster, with whom he performed the African National Anthem for and shook hands with Nelson Mandela during his visit to Washington, DC - a true life-changing experience for Terrell.

As a young solo artist coming into his own, Terrell has performed and ministered with many gospel industry icons and has accomplished much including singing duets with Vickie Winans and Karen Clark-Sheard for a 13 show run of the highly acclaimed Evangel Cathedral Christmas Production in 2003. Another such career-shaping experience was when Hunt co-starred with Daryl Coley, Joey Kibble of the GRAMMY Award winning group Take 6, Paul Heflin, and Monique Steele in the ImpAct Multimedia gospel musical stage play production of “War Games." Terrell is grateful for the opportunities. “Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to meet and perform with some of Gospel’s finest,” recounts the artist. “God has placed me on some platforms I never even dreamed of.”

Even so, Terrell’s ministry has now matured into a full-grown Levitical movement for the enrichment and advancement of God’s Kingdom. Ordained Music Minister, Worship Leader, Recording Artist, Songwriter, Producer, Vocal Coach and Music Ministry Leadership Training Consultant are just some of the many hats worn by Terrell these days. But Terrell’s main focus, chief joy and love is ministering to the people of God through music ministry. It is his goal as a contemporary Levite, one who has been chosen to carry the ark (I Chron.15:2), to create an atmosphere conducive to the manifest presence of God and usher the people of God into His presence. To this end Terrell’s long-awaited first solo recording project of original Praise and Worship music entitled “Awesome” is complete and was released on the RichEscape Music label in late 2007. Even so this project continues to grow in wide appeal and popularity, especially after receiving a 2009 Stellar Award nomination.

Terrell is also the Founder and CEO of NuPsalms Productions—an organization providing assistance in songwriting, vocal and music ministry production and ministry training, where he has mastered the art of transforming even daily activities into ministry opportunities. In addition, Terrell serves as the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Talented Young People Moving On (TYPMO) - a non-profit youth program with a powerful and proactive mission to provide foundational development for the advancement of “at risk” youth seeking career opportunities in the performing arts.

Nevertheless, more than any of these achievements Terrell strives daily to be a man after God’s own heart, living in His presence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Terrell’s most sincere beliefs are in a “lifestyle of worship.” He professes that he cannot lead the people of God to a place he has never been himself. Terrell proclaims, “That’s why it’s important for me to live daily in the presence of God. My relationship with my creator is the lifeline of my ministry and career. Fads fade, but lifestyle and relationship are eternal.”

Terrell says, “Most importantly, if you don’t remember anything else about me, know that I’m a child of God saved by grace, signed, sealed and delivered, and sold out completely for Him and His kingdom building.”

This CD project, “AWESOME” is first and foremost presented and dedicated as a praise offering to our Lord, Savior and King, Jesus Christ without whom there is no music, no life, no love and no existence. Jesus, you are the preeminent source of all that is, and we therefore give all that we are and all that we have back to you. Thank you Lord for the opportunity you’ve given everyone who participated in the production of “AWESOME” to share in this profoundly rich foretaste of your glory divine and to prepare for the eternal life experience which is ours even now. We love and adore you!

This project is also dedicated to the blessed memory and family of our dear friend, Raymond “Scotty” Brown. Thank you so much Scotty for sharing your sincerity and your heart of music with us as we go forth now to share this gift with the world and share all that has been accomplished with our God, with whom you are already experiencing just how “AWESOME” HE really is. We’ll be seeing you soon!

It is with the utmost of pleasure and sense of gratitude to the Lord that we welcome Minister Terrell Hunt to the RichEscape Music family. Terrell is a uniquely gifted and anointed vocalist, song writer and record industry trailblazer as he redefines the contemporary worshiper’s role and focus in the pursuit and attainment of true, Christ-centered ministry and authenticated participation in the Praise and Worship experience to the ultimate glory and honor of God—to a level of unequaled heights of expression and power only to be characterized by one word, “Awesome.”

“Awesome” as a CD project is overflowing with the richness of God-ordained original Praise and Worship music and marks the beginning of Terrell’s ministry on a universal spectrum at a mountaintop level of worldwide influence and inspiration.

Working on “Awesome” has been an amazing, challenging, rewarding and humbling experience that has without question brought forth spiritual growth and maturity as well as a bounty of blessings in so many ways for me personally and for all the participants and supporters of this project. This was not the case just because of the extraordinary music that has been penned and presented or by the arranging and writing talents of none other than Terrell Hunt, Amos Saint Jean, John Stoddart, and Lloyd Barry or the incredible instrumental artistry and anointed vocal ministry of so many gifted musicians and singers who I consider 2nd to none in talent, dedication and professionalism or even Kevin Jackson and his Night Flight studio engineering team from which we lost such an integral member along the way in the person of Raymond “Scotty” Brown who shared so much of himself and spirit, nor the premier production team with whom I was honored to serve and share a spot that put in so many countless hours to see this project from its conception and ordination, to it’s transition and transformation over these three years and come out purified through the fire to fruition as pure gold for a magnificent shining offering to God. No, the most amazing thing was God’s personal presence, fellowship, leadership, love, guidance and stamp of approval in bringing us all together in a way that could only be orchestrated by the Lord Himself for His glory and honor. The Lord took me from being just a mere guitarist on the project to being responsible for finishing the CD and putting it out for the public to hear. This was a gift from God to me—a humbling opportunity to walk with the Lord himself on a level of faith I had never experienced in this way before. For this, I give all praise and worship to Jesus, our Lord and Savior for this powerful experience and eternal celebration in music authored by God, for Him with all glory to Him for He alone is indeed, “AWESOME.” I offer my personal and sincere thanks and gratitude to the Lord and to every single person who had anything and everything to do with this CD production. May God richly bless all of you for sharing your kindness in all the time we spent together and for the love and commitment you’ve shown to Terrell and to RichEscape Music, personally and professionally in making this all possible.

Blessings Always from Jesus the Eternal Melody,
Terrence Richburg, President

The product you hold in your hand would not have been possible without the sacrifice and hard work of the following people:

Terrence Richburg (RichEscape Music, LLC) – Thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance. You didn’t give up on me and you taught me how it’s supposed to be done. You helped shape and mold me for my music “mindustry” career. The ministry mind and businessman-ship (is that a word??) covered in the anointing and wrapped up in you is amazingly irrevocable AND I still haven’t found anyone who plucks the guitar strings the way you do. GOOD GOD!!!! For all you’ve been and all you’ve done I am eternally grateful!!! Amos St. Jean (J-Bug Productions) – GEOOOOORGE!!! Thanks for taking my music and making it “nation-ready”. It’s your music genius that brought it all together. Thanks for pouring into my ministry and partnering with me in this kingdom building endeavor. I’m excited about what God is doing with you and your ministry!!! OH…and don’t forget, I AM recording that song!!! Kevin Jackson, Tike, Treasure, Scotty (for the time you shared) and everyone at Night Flight Studios – you all are the best to work with. THANKS FOR MELODYNE and all the late night sessions that started out with mamas cooking and ended up with me snoring on the couch…”we’s family now!” I can’t wait for the next project…. The BAAADEST musicians this side of heaven – …words just don’t seem adequate to express my gratitude for each of you. Unfortunately, words will have to do for the moment ‘cause I’m broke – but you all just wait, one day…..AH GLORY!!!!!! SPEAKING THOSE THINGS… (haha). Really, this project wouldn’t be what it is without you. Anybody ready for #2??? The most anointed and SAAANGAN-IST singers I know - When finding anointed - ministry minded – cooperative - non-diva – GODLY - no nonsense - seriously living for God - “I got yo back” - singers seemed to be virtually impossible – God brought you all into my life and I am SOOOOO glad He did. My, oh my, how do I love you all – let me count the ways!!! Donnell Josiah (“The One Man Wonder”) – Thank you for being there from the very beginning. Your master mind and platinum hands got the creative ball rolling on making the music what it is today. Thank you for keeping your promise to me and for ALL that time you spent in rehearsals with me and the group working on the music. What an anointed “one man wonder” that you are!!! Zina Johnson and the Capitol Hill Mass Choir – Your anointing… your sound… your LATE NIGHT rehearsals…it all pays off and makes you one of the premier choirs in the DC/Metropolitan area. Thank you for your spirit of perfection and excellence in all you do and thank you for our relationship. Anytime…anywhere, as long as it’s the Capitol Hill Mass Choir, I’M THERE!!! Christopher John (Left Shoe Productions) – Chris, Chris, Chris…you told me along time ago, so sorry I didn’t listen!!! Thank you for “Oh Give Thanks” and for allowing me to interpret it my way!! What can else can I have??? (Smile) John Stoddard (Urban Junction East) – YOU ARE A CRAZY-SICK MUSICAL GENIUS!!! Thank you for taking “Awesome” and putting your stamp on it. Sounds like its ready for the big screen…that song has a brand new meaning. To every radio announcer I thank you in advance for all your love, support and help in helping me reach the masses. You play such a significant role in the success of many artists…especially us newcomers. I thank each you for all you do!

I would like to give sincere thanks to the following gems in my life:

My Creator… You formed me in my mothers and planned my destiny before my beginning ever began. You ordered my steps and led me to the place of Enhakkore and enlarged territory. I present this offering to You that it would be a sweet sound in Your ear – an unblemished sacrifice, yet I still owe You me. My life is Yours and “my love for You will never die”! My Mother, my best friend... I’m blessed to share my life with a virtuous woman whose price is far above rubies. My heart does safely trust in her for she has done me well all the days of my life. She rises while it is yet night to give the meat of prayers and supplication on my behalf. Strength and honor are her clothing; she speaks words of wisdom and in her tongue is the very law of kindness and love. Ma, I rise up and call you blessed. For many women have done virtuously, but you excel them all! What a treasure you are. I adore you Muffin! My family, my support… (Nona, Charms, Thelma, CJ, Nathaniel, Nathan, Baby Girl, Aunt Tink, Ken, Aunt Joce, Te, and Les) you all make life even the more fulfilling. Thank you for supporting me wholeheartedly while I followed my dream…my heart…my passion…MY DESTINY! I love you all more than I could ever fully put into words. Pastor B and the Bladensburg SDA Church Family, my warriors… Pastor, God really knew what He was doing when He placed you in my life. Thank you for covering, maturing and developing me spiritually. Your nurturing and shepherding helped me become the “David” I am today. To my church family, you all have watched me grow from the very beginning. Thank you for keeping all the embarrassing “Little Terry” stories to yourselves (haha) Thank you all for being a real, true, loving and supportive church family, and for keeping me humble as only “The Blades” can! You all have my love. My Circle, my “seers”… (Angela Chapman, Stacey Jean-Pierre, Jeremy Lloyd, Nadja Scott, Will Davis, Gary Holliday – my brother, Nyssa, Chan, Court you all will never truly know what a blessing our friendship has been to me. I just can’t find the right words…the right gestures…the right “thank you”. Just know that you all are treasures that hold a special place in my heart. “The Village”, My Defining Moments… Pastor Emil D. Peeler and Family (Dupont Park Church), Pastor James Doggette (Madison Mission Church), Pastor Frederick A. Russell and Family (Miracle Temple Worship Center), Pastor Marcellus Robinson and Family (Brinklow Church), Dr. Guy A. Things you’ve said to me, deeds you’ve done for me and/or contributions you’ve made to my life and ministry were all defining moments for me. I thank you for letting me know you were in my corner and I could count on you. Your contributions to my growth and advancement have made me who I am today. It REALLY does take a village to raise a child and I think you all did a wonderful job! (Smile) My Spiritual Guidance, my Godsends… Rev. Carol and Marshall Jackson (my spiritual parents), “Uncle Marshall” Kelly (my mentor and role model, thank you for being my example of how to epitomize the character and humility of Christ in all my ways and how to remain in the word.), Vickie Winans (thank you for the friendship and for teaching me how important my personality and character will be to my career and for reminding me that I am the one with the “paintbrush”), “Ma Jacqui” Robinson, Rev. Anita “Big Mama” Obrien “Ma Becky” Mays, AND to My Enemies… when I consider everything you all have done (or said about me) and how it all made me the better, stronger, renewed man I am today, I can’t help but give you my deepest gratitude. How could I not? You all have been the best footstools a guy could ever have. Be careful not to let me distract you from the blessings God has waiting for you! I’m praying for you!! Those who I failed to mention here please don’t be offended. Just know that heart could never truly be portrayed in this small space! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

Sincerely, Terrell

There isn't a day that goes by that I do not listen to this cd. I have it playing in my house, my car and my office. It is truly a blessing to me.

Minister Hunt is an annointed and very talented young man. This cd is AWESOME. OH GIVE THANKS is the hit. If you haven't heard this .....buy it now.

As worship leader at my church, I was looking for new music to introduce to the saints of God. I came across this cd and instantly liked "This is the Day". I purchased it and listened to only that song. One day, I decided to let it play and oh what I'd been missing. The ministry of Bro. Hunt is will soon take this area by storm. Choir directors, worship leaders, Music Directors....this is the cd to have. Every song is a testimony. May God continue to you, Bro Hunt, as your music is blessing me. Oh, how awesome!

Amazingly AWESOME!
I have #7 (Awesome) playing in my ears as I write this review. This one is by far my favorite ("Oh Give Thanks" is a close second). The whole CD is spectacular. I was truly blown away by it. My prayer is that the Lord continues to bless this project. Truly AWESOME!!

It was uplifting and ministered to the soul. It's a reminder of God's goodness.
The selection of songs and harmony is awesome. The words in the songs are a reminder of God's goodness and love towards us. Thank you for allowing God to use you to bless others through this ministry.

Awesome is absolutely beautiful, from the music to the lyrics. It has the type of music on it that makes you want to listen over and over again, whether you need to be drawn to praise God, drawn to worship Him, or even if you just need peace in the middle of the day. I highly recommend it.

This cd, "AWESOME" speaks to my heart and as it does, I find myself giving PRAISE to God for all He has done for me. I will share this joy of PRAISE by making sure my friends get a copy of this cd.

Awesome is indeed the name for this project!!
This CD is the bomb! It is spirit filled, annointed and truly awesome! If you want to be ushered into the presence of the Lord, listen to this. It will make you shout! Glory!! Hallelujah!!
