ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"She Loved Horses is dedicated to my sister, Dorothy Irene Stacey, and to all "The Girls Who Went Away" and surrendered children for adoption in the decades before Roe v. Wade." -- from CD the liner notes

Thea has been writing, performing and recording original music for over 30 years, backed by some of the best musicians in the industry. Stellar vocal harmonies blend with acoustic guitar, cello, violin and grand piano to create a lush soundscape for a spiritually inspired message and poignant love songs. Thea's sound is contemporary and timeless, and speaks across generations.

An award-winning songwriter, Thea spent her early childhood barefoot among the Seminole Indians on the banks of the Miami River. Her summers were spent in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina where she currently resides. These influences, along with her abiding love of nature, weave images of river, ocean, mountain, and canyon throughout her songs.

Featured on select tracks is, Chuck, aka, The GreenMan, (Thea’s husband and music partner). Other notables on "She Loved Horses" include: Bill Berg (Drummer for Dylan’s, "Blood on the Tracks", and Flimm & the BB’s), Jacob Rodriguez (Sax for Michael Bublé), Richard Shulman (Grand Piano), John Keane (REM, Widespread Panic), Jenny Bird, Zach Page, Ron Clearfield and more.
