Album Notes
Relying on just our given voices to convey what we have to tell you, we've finally come to a place where we want to believe in the power of "a song" again. Music works all sorts of beautiful wonders, that's why we do it and that's why we want to share it with you.
Hailing from New Smyrna Beach, FL, The Afterwhile are a family band to the truest extent. The Cuchetti siblings, along with their bassist, have taken Central Florida by storm with a raw, dreamy folk sound that speaks to the heart of the music they’ve loved since their musical childhoods. Most often compared to Brandi Carlile, Mumford and Sons, Adele, Dave Matthews and Ray Lamontagne, The Afterwhile will take their music on the road for their third Midwest tour this June and at the same time have their track “IJ” featured on WiFi PR Group’s compilation, Indie Anthems Vol. 6.
The Afterwhile grew out of the musical talents of the Cuchetti siblings—Gina on lead vocals, piano and guitar, Anthony on vocals and guitar and Chris on vocals and drums—plus their bassist Alex Ceserani. The Cuchettis grew up surrounded by music in a family of 10 kids who traveled around the country performing with their parents for 15 years as the nationally acclaimed group, The Fabulous Conti Family. Even after the family stopped touring, Gina, Anthony and Chris kept at it and created their own bluesy folk band that has since released its own self-titled debut EP (2012) and seen its own successes.
These accomplishments include a number of high profile performances and competition achievements. They were state finalists in the 2013 Texaco Country Music Showdown and 2013 winners of the St. Augustine Battle of the Bands. They opened for the B52’s at Sunfest in 2010, for The Little River Band at Rock and Rib Fest in 2012 and as a fringe band for the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen of the Road tour stop in St. Augustine in 2013. This August 2014 finds The Afterwhile opening up for The Marshal Tucker Band at Big Top Chitaugua festival in northern Wisconsin.
Lead vocalist Gina made it to the blind auditions in front of celebrity judges on Season 2 of “The Voice,” and she also performed at the Apollo Theater in New York for the Night at the Apollo show.

My husband and I saw you guys Friday night after the Gentlemen of the Road tour. You blew us away. Looking forward to seeing you guys again one day. We may have to make a trip back to Florida to see you.

You guys were by far the best show i saw Friday Night. I wish i would have left the GOTR earlier. I gushed about how wonderful you guys were to my friends and family all weekend. I wish you continued success and I can only hope I will get to see you perform again. Please come to Knoxville, TN. We would love to have you!!!

Ralph D'Angelo - June 12, 2013
I saw The Police on a small stage in a field before anyone ever heard of Sting or the Police. I saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, several times, in local clubs in Ganesville, FL. And when you guys hit the big time I am going to be able to say, I saw The Afterwhile before they were an international hit! Rock on.
