Album Notes
Cheryl Metrick and Jeree Wade, MA, wrote the book that these meditations are based on titled "On the Wings of Inspiration: Exploring our Inner Life through Interpretive Symbols." Cheryl also created a card set which displays the drawings and poems from the book and includes a booklet of these meditations. The pictures were the catalysts for the meditations and can be useful as focusing tools. Cheryl says, "the images came to me first; then related poems just “fell out of my head.” Both were born out of inspiration. In the book the descriptive poems come after the respective drawings for each chapter and then a narrative after that. An affirmation follows which can be read and re-read to help guide the subconscious mind. Jeree Wade then adds commentary on that chapter and a workbook section.

The order of the meditations follows a natural structured path for development. However, if you prefer you can ask a higher power to guide you to choose which meditation is best for you at any time. You might choose to select a different meditation each day, or one a week. There is no rule but we suggest no more than one a day. The information can be powerful and it is advised that you allow space and time to work with the outcome and absorb it fully to gain maximum benefit before moving on to the next step. You will quickly find your own best way of working.

These meditations are journeys of the mind - closer in kind to the Western Mystery tradition, which uses imagination, and journeying, rather than the Eastern tradition of clearing the mind. We hope you enjoy them.

JEREE WADE, M. A.: Life Coach, Counselor, Producer and Performer
Montclair, New Jersey-based life coach and counselor, Jeree Wade, M. A., is in private practice specializing in spiritually focused life coaching, counseling and healing workshops. Her interests lie in continued research in the areas of emotional intelligence, compulsive care giving, self-esteem and empathy. She supports her clients in exploring self-empathy as well as self-responsibility.

Ms. Wade developed a group model that is both inclusive and accepting. It is limited to six people and the focus is on issues of self-confidence, productivity, self-care and empathy. The model includes John Miguel Ruiz’s Four Agreements and addresses improving relationships at home and at work.

With a degree in theatre arts and a master’s degree in counseling psychology, Ms. Wade created and conducted Serenity Seminars over the last twenty years. These stimulating yet serene weekend seminars combine traditional group process, cognitive therapy, music and relaxation.

Until she attained her graduate degree in 1995, Jeree enjoyed a career as a professional singer/actress. This attracts many working artists to her practice and seminars. She also performs a one-woman theatre piece: "Midlife...Oh the drama!" This performance has entertained and inspired many healing discussions in seminars and groups.

Jeree Wade continues to perform and produce theatrical shows and she also maintains her private practice, small groups and seminars. She is happy in both careers and is aptly capable of balancing the counseling/ life coaching with the producing and performing. She does so ethically and with integrity.
