Album Notes
San Antonio in 1966 , a concert ( the only known surviving archive of The Bards ) , was recently discovered
among a collection of cassette tapes. Meet The Bards is the historical pre-curser to the "Hippy Revolution."
Cover songs from Simon and Garfunkel, Peter, Paul and Mary and original songs reflect the moment of social
change, the somewhat wistful return to romantic roots and a classic example of the original "rocky-folk".
Geoff Rips ( who served for years on the Texas Board of Education ) introduces The Bards .....

These young 16 year old men each went on to help carve the world of today. Bruce Stanberry became the head
cutter and technician at NBC and noted Independent Film-maker, David Itz became a successful oil executive, Barto Arnold is a well respected archaeologist,
Alan Fear taught for years in the Austin Independent School District and influence thousands with his relentless pursuit of
truth and beauty and Bart Boyce became the CowboyMaitre'd at the Petroleum Club of Houston, Ran for Governor of the
State of Texas and still performs today in Houston as Kingbaby.
