Album Notes
Pianist and composer-arranger Boni de Souza gathers his team of musicians for this collection of favourite jazz standards. His jAZZTET includes the formidable Double Bassist from New York - Victor Gaskin who has performed and recorded with Cannonball Adderley, Johnny Hartman, Billy Taylor and many other jazz legends. Other members include Wendy Low on Flute who has recorded with Asian Superstars - Jacky Cheung, Theresa Teng, Gigi Leung and many others as well as being featured in her own album "Busy doing Something" Sanip Ismail - (former Drummer and Percussionist with Singapore's TV Orchestra) is on drums and on Guitar is one of South East Asia's finest jazz guitarists Farid Ali who previously won the ASEAN Song Contest in Hong Kong as well as being awarded top honours at his graduation from Berklee College of Music. This album also includes a few originals by Boni de Souza including Eau de Vie, Bossa for You and "B" is for Bossa.
