ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The second CD by this all faculty guitar ensemble from Berklee College Of Music features 5 Guitars, Vibes, Trumpet, Bass & Drums. The compositions and arrangements have been written specifically for the group by its leader, John Baboian, and Jerry Seeco on trumpet. The inspiration for the ensemble comes from the group "Supersax" who play the music of Charlie Parker harmonized for 5 saxophones. The band started out around 1990 as The Berklee Guitar Department Faculty Be Bop Guitar Ensemble, but quickly decided that the name may be a bit too cumbersome and changed it to the shorter more concise "Be-Bop" Guitars. We hope you will enjoy the music that we have presented here for you.
Thanks, John Baboian
