ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
What's old is new again! Recording artists The Big Cheese Band is a family-formed band joining beautiful three-part harmony with ten different acoustic instruments. Known for their wit, humor, and high-energy instrumentals, they’ve been entertaining folks in the Washington, DC area for over ten years. Their originals include novelty songs “Christmas Crocodile”, “Redneck Cappuccino” (about Mountain Dew) and humorous songs "I Wanna Be Your Phone" and “Another Year Older” (“you lose your hair and your tire’s a spare”). Their covers include "Five Pounds of Possum", a song about road kill, and "Shannon Among All the Stars", a beautiful memorial to a lost child written by one of Larry's guitar students, as well as a fiddle and banjo version of "Freebird" with lots of harmony and fiddle licks. Two other songs on this album, "Funny Wunny Won't You Be My Honey Tonight" and "Christmas Crocodile" were written by Larry's students.

Band Members
Lea Mae Camarda (daughter) – vocals, guitar, banjo, dulcimer; Larry Rice (dad) – vocals, fiddle, guitar, ukulele, bass; Holly Rose Weber (former fiddle student of Larry’s) – vocals, fiddle and ukulele.
