ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A long time ago, when I was younger & smaller, I discovered that faraway people & places were attempting to communicate with me, through the ether, via invisible electromagnetic waves. I discovered that my battery-powered monophonic AM/FM pocket radio could pick up these signals. I found these audio messages, from the home that I never knew, mostly on the lower reaches of the FM band, and on the AM band at odd, mostly late, hours. Out from the little speaker came voices & sounds that were strange & exotic. These were very different voices & sounds from what I was hearing & seeing on the cathode-ray tube altar that was the centerpiece of the living room in the home in which I was born but misplaced. These sounds made me homesick for those places I'd never been. Rhythmic, dark, sometimes dangerous, strange & exciting. Thankfully they found me & spoke to me. They probably found you & spoke to you also. From a long way away, by air, at the speed of light, riding on electromagnetic waves, through transistors and out a little paper speaker and in to our big cavernous heads. Very mysterious, eh? Time & space are big & elastic. Someone from a different place & time can whisper in your ear.
