Album Notes

“I can tell you truthfully, I doubt if I’ll come out of this war alive. In my original squad I’m the only one left unharmed.
In my platoon there’s only 13 of us . It seems every day another young guy 18 and 19 years old like myself is killed in action. All of us are scared cause we know a lot of us won’t make it”
Private Raymond Griffiths wrote these words and he didn’t make it back from the Vietnam War. He was killed in action in 1966 on the Fourth of July.

“The Vietnam War Revisited” is dedicated to the men of Charlie Company, 4th of the 47th, 9th Division, and the many other men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Vietnam War. All proceeds from this album will be donated to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Let these voices be heard and remember whenever you can so that others may never forget.

another wonderful release ..... !!!!
I am truly set back on my heels in awe listening to how good this new album is.

An elegy really to all US soldiers and in this case to those who volunteered or were called up to serve in Vietnam and to those who bravely gave the last full measure of devotion during this so very contentious war.

The Black River Band does such an excellent job eulogizing……..the vocals, the lyrics, the guitar playing are all stellar……as usual and particularly so regarding expressing the feelings during this very tumultuous time in America.

I so very highly recommend buying this album………..
