Album Notes
The Blue Lane offers audiences a jazz/blues style influenced by Americana, Hot Jazz and Swing.
Connor Booth (drummer) is from Lunenburg, Morgan Cruickshank, (lead/rhythm guitar) is from Chester, Rachael Henderson (vocals and bass) comes from Truro and Caleb Johnson (lead/rhythm guitar) is from Perth Andover, NB. Members of the band met each other through the NSCC Music Arts program.
This year, the four-piece band recorded an EP for release in 2016. The EP has seven original songs recorded live off the floor in Lunenburg at Otitis Media.
The Blue Lane has released three singles from their EP. “I’ll See You When” is a Hot Jazz number with catchy contemporary vocal hooks and Django Reinhardt guitar stylings. “Walking Into Yesterday” is a soulful ballad and “Creepy Danger” is an upbeat lighthearted swing tune.

“Looking ahead to 2016, keep your eyes peeled in March for the EP release party of "The Blue Lane." This exciting new band offers audiences a mellow jazz / blues style with elements of Americana and Swing.
