ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Blues Mystery - their first album’s mystery – Rocks - in the cliffs of the Swiss Alps. As if ZZ Top would have used their razor: cliffs, no forest. Willy Matt, the French singer-guitar player, landed 20 years ago in the center of the Alps, surrounded by the highest mountains. Tried to settle down, but one phone call from his FIRST LOVE, and 24 years after, they came together again, A MYSTERY. The lives they had built up crashed, THE BLUES.

Luckily Willy bumped into Walter K., a Canadian bass player, who had toured with some crazy bands, the wildest one for sure the Toronto based LOOK PEOPLE, a funk-comedy band. Then he also tried to settle down, based on mathematic musical harmonic structures (!) he built up a high tech water treatment company, after that one took off, he decided to go back to music pure and produce Willy’s songs, wrote some own ones for this project.

So what is The Blues Mystery? Listen to the first track “Nothing to Hide”, or the second “Let Me Smoke My Cigar in Peace”, listen to the others and their lyrics too. Irénée adds guitars jumping from wild rock to jazz, Gege the drummer and old friend of Willy, cultivates a straight forward drumming, both are Swiss and more precise than a Swiss watch.
