ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Bodarks are a "hootenanny" string band hailing from Dallas that formed in 2012. Selected as a "Rising Star" finalist by Shiner Bock/Records and KHYI 95.3FM (Dallas), they are wildly entertaining to audiences of all tastes. Donnie Nelson, GM of the Dallas Mavericks, described them as a band that creates its own genre, crashing through all others as they convert popular music into a hoedown. And Brett Dillon of KHYI had this to say: "Great harmonies, great vocals, and great job of connecting with the crowd and trying to bring us up on stage." To see The Bodarks live is porch-stompin', fiddle-sawin', bass-spankin' fun as they dig up the roots from which today's music sprouted and the American soul was nurtured. And here for the first time is a collection of their original music.
