ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hey, P-Dubbs here! Thanks for checking out our music. We're four humble friends from Queens, New York that are bound together by a musical addiction. We love writing songs and discovering new sounds and ideas. (It's what we do!)
I wanted to give you a chance to get to know us a little better and see how we got here.

First off our sound is a bit eclectic at times but at it's core is deeply seeded in rock fundamentals like AC/DC and U2.
We grew up in the 80s and 90s listening to very different things from one another. James is heavily influenced by punk and heavy metal like Drop Kick Murphy's and Slayer. Greg has always been huge into Metallica and Pearl Jam. More dramatic a shift is Mario's choices. He'll listen to show tunes and 50's Doo Wap followed by Audioslave and The Beatles. If nothing else, I think this helps to keep our songs unique and interesting. Personally I grew up listening to a lot of pop songs in the early days and only when I was about 14 did I truly discover rock music and how it could change your life in a profound way. I'm a big fan of U2's the Edge and what he's done to revolutionize the sound of a guitar. He's probably one of my biggest guitar influences, which can be heard throughout Bright Lights. When we were teenagers, bands like Nirvana, Metallica and Linkin Park were leading the way and we took notice. It was only much later that I discovered and fully appreciated AC/DC and everything Angus and Malcom had achieved.

Greg Cerar (Drums):
Greg Cerar learned to play the trumpet in school until he realized that Ska was no longer cool and desperately wanted in on a rock band. He asked his teacher how to play drums and after three quick lessons has been teaching himself for the last ten years. He spends his days as an Air Conditioning automation specialist and his latest "Hobby" has been learning how to record studio albums. None of this, of course, would be possible without the love and understanding of his VERY patient wife.

Paulie "P Dubbs" Wunsch (Guitar):
I started playing guitar when I was about 16 years old. A couple of high school friends, we wanted to form a band. Convinced we'd take over the world, yet couldn't play our instruments. Regardless of skill, our sheer stubborn determination drove us. In a lot of ways I still feel the same, just a little older and a tad wiser. I now understand where blues and punk came from. A group of people that communicate with each other differently than everyone else in the room. The lineup has changed, but the core reasons we play will always be the same.

James Hayes (Bass):
I play bass, and I prefer to be brief.

Mario Robles (Vocals):
Mario has dedicated his life to performing. He grew up in the New York City theater scene, and has always had a love affair with the stage. For him, there's nothing quite like the special relationship between a performer and the crowd. His passion for all things entertainment (from acting to singing to dancing to directing to DJing and back) led him to starting his professional career at the age of 15. While acting was always his primary creative output, he always dreamed of one day fronting a band, so when the opportunity finally presented itself...
